PRIVACY POLICY for GLOBULA

  1. Introduction

GLOBULA is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our mobile geolocation game, GLOBULA (the “Game”). We value your trust and are dedicated to handling your personal data responsibly and securely. This policy is designed to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the User Data policies. By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information We Collect

To provide and improve the Game, we collect the following information:

  • Geolocation Data:
    • Precise Location: GLOBULA is a location-based game, and to function correctly, it requires access to your device’s precise location. This includes GPS coordinates, Wi-Fi network information, and cellular tower information. We collect this data only when the Game is actively running and you have granted us permission through your device settings. We use your precise location to allow you to interact with virtual elements within the game (e.g. collect globulas, explore locations). Without access to precise location, you will not be able to properly play the game.
  • Device Information:
    • Device Identifiers: We collect device identifiers such as your Android Advertising ID (AAID) or other unique device identifiers. This information helps us distinguish unique users, track app performance.
    • Device Attributes: This includes the device model, operating system version, hardware model, mobile network information, and similar technical data. We use this to optimize the Game for your device, provide technical support, and ensure compatibility.
  • Account Information:
    • Username: When you start GLOBULA, you will need to choose a username. This username will be associated with your gameplay progress and activities.
    • Email Address (Optional): We only collect your email address if you choose to:
      • Create a game account for backing up your progress.
      • Subscribe to our newsletter for updates and promotions.
      • Contact our team.
    • Third-Party Account Linking (Optional): You may be able to connect to the Game using your TonKeeper, MyTonWallet, TonHub or Telegram account. If you choose to do so, we collect only the information that is essential for authentication (wallet address, telegram ID/username) and that you have authorized the third-party service to share with us.
  • Usage Data:
    • Gameplay Data: We track your in-game progress, achievements, interactions with other players, and other game-related activities.
    • Log Data: Our servers automatically record information (“log data”) created by your use of the Game. Log data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.
  • Advertising Data:
    • GLOBULA does not run any Advertisement inside of it’s game client.
  1. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and Improving the Game:
    • Enabling the core location-based gameplay.
    • Personalizing your gameplay experience.
    • Optimizing the Game’s performance and stability.
    • Developing new features and content.
    • Analyzing Game usage trends.
  • Communication:
    • Responding to your support requests.
    • Sending important Game updates and announcements.
    • Sending promotional emails (only if you have opted in).
  • Security and Fraud Prevention:
    • Detecting and preventing fraudulent activity.
    • Enforcing our Terms of Service.

  • Service Providers: We contract with third-party service providers to assist us in providing and improving the Game. These providers include:

      We have contracts with these providers that require them to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
  • Other Players (Limited Sharing): Your chosen username and limited gameplay statistics may be visible to other players. We provide clear in-game messaging about what information is shared.
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose your information to legal authorities if required to do so by law or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or an in-app notification of any such transfer.
  1. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures include:

  • Data encryption during transmission and storage.
  • Restricted access to your information to authorized personnel.
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

However, please note that no method of data transmission or storage can guarantee 100% security.

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.

  • Account and Gameplay Data: We retain this data for as long as you maintain an active account. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days of your request, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
  • Location Data:
    • Precise Location Data: We retain precise location data for 14 days to improve location accuracy and gameplay.
    • Aggregated Location Data: We may retain aggregated and anonymized location data for longer periods for research and analytics purposes.

  • Access: You can request access to the information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: You can request that we delete your information.

  • Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time (where we rely on consent to process your data).

The Game is intended for a general audience.
